ADYAN believes that all authentic prayers are heard, and that praying with others joins people together and strengthens their spiritual solidarity. Thus, the ADYAN Prayer Network spiritually joins people from different parts of the world and of different faiths that agree to pray, each in his/her own way, for shared intentions occasionally proposed by ADYAN.
Prayer for peace in Jos, Nigeria
We pray for the people of Jos, Nigeria, for the victims of interreligious conflicts and their families and for all the people that had to flee their homes. We pray that the armed men, from both Muslim and Christian militias, remember the fundamental precepts of their respective faiths, become aware of the horror of their deeds and abandon violence. We also pray for the witnesses to peace and reconciliation in Nigeria, especially for Pastor James and Imam Ashafa, so that they remain strong in their message of hope and that this message is heard and their example followed.
We also pray in compassion with the Haitian people.
