Spiritual Solidarity Day


Summary

On the last Saturday of October of each year since 2007, ADYAN organizes a national interfaith encounter, following the paradigm of the historic Assisi Interfaith Gathering of 1986.
The main objective of this program is to develop understanding of common values among the different religious communities and to enhance spiritual solidarity between their leaders and members.
Yearly, the encounter consists of a ceremony gathering social, educational, and religious leaders as well as groups and individuals from different communities to celebrate a common value and confirm adoption of it, through prayers, cultural activities and a written message subscribed to by all.


Target population

Lebanese social, educational and religious leaders as well as individuals from all communities.

Forum for Development, Culture and Dialogue (FDCD)
Bank of Beirut and Arab Countries (BBAC)
As well as NGOs working in dialogue (Darb Maryam, Offre-Joie, Linaltaki), Educational institutions, Religious communities.
