After the violent clashes in Beirut and the Lebanese Mountain in May 2008, ADYAN organized two workshops for its Volunteers Network in order to analyze the new situation and its risks, and to elaborate a comprehensive approach of how to deal with it. On July 12, 2008, Volunteers worked in groups on Press documents related to the violent events, then were asked to reflect on who the "other" is according to them, and on his characteristics. The second workshop, held on January 24, 2009 continued the reflection by working on prejudices and perception mechanisms and the capacity and ways to overcome them.
