Description:

Working as consultant in association with CIRDiC (International center for encounter and cultural dialogue) and the French group “Living youth” (Jeunes vivants) in putting together a play on interfaith and intercultural encounter “Le Saint et le Sultan”. The play is an interpretation of the meeting between Saint Francis and the Fatimid caliph, in the crusade context, as an interfaith encounter showing the positive mutual impact on both of them and their communities. The play is intercultural and bilingual in content and form since actors, dancers and musicians come from both France and Lebanon.

Outcome:

The play was supposed to be performed in august 2007 but has been postponed due to the unstable situation in Lebanon.
