Adyan helped the Middle East Council of Churches organize its 8th Christian-muslim youth congress entitled “Religions and civil peace”. Participants were from Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan.

Trip to the Bekaa with religious tourism and common pilgrimage
We visited the mosque and the sanctuary of prophet Noah in Karak (chiite sanctuary), then Saint Anthony of Padova’s chuch in Karak, then the Sanctuary of Our Lady in Zahlé, and finally the sanctuary of Sitt Sha’wana in Ammik (druze sanctuary).

Meeting with volunteers in Mechref
The meeting consisted in an encounter with the sisters of Carmel Saint Joseph in Mechref, a time of watching a film and discussion around the movie: The Pastor and the Imam, about interfaith relations and peace-building in Nigeria, and a time to present and discuss new and prospective programs.

Training for volunteers on the topic: “Love of God, love of neighbor”
Keynote Speakers: Sister Rose Abi Aad and Shaykh Sami Abul Muna The volunteers were divided into groups and worked on texts from each tradition. Then the two keynote speakers gave their lectures and answered questions. Finally, the volunteers prepared ideas and proposals for future projects.

The volunteers were divided into two mixed groups, each working on a text from one tradition. Each group then presented their understanding of the text and Fadi Daou and Nayla Tabbara summarized and synthesized on the topic.

Tony Sawma organized a session for a group of christian youth, in Kfifane, Lebanon, on Sunday April 15, 2007, entitled: “Reasons for hope in the Lebanese context”. TV debate on the pope’s lecture at Ratisbonne University
Fadi Daou and Nayla Tabbara were invited on Wednesday September 20, 2006, to the program “The youth as richness and revolution”, on Télé Lumière, (Christian TV in Lebanon), to analyze the pope’s text and its reception in Lebanon and the world. They were also asked to present adyan’s point of view on the muslim-christian dialogue and the role of education and media in promoting interfaith relations and bridge-building.
